- In 2022, 7,122 inpatient discharges and deaths were related to the malignant neoplasm of nasopharynx, commonly known as nasopharyngeal cancer, which accounted for 2.8% of hospitalization due to all types of cancers.

- In 2022, 251 people died from nasopharygneal cancer, accounting for 1.7% of all cancer deaths. The crude death rates for male and female were 5.7 and 1.5 per 100,000 population of respective sex.

- In general, the age-standardized death rate was higher in male than those of female.
