- In 2023, 7,267 inpatient discharges and deaths were related to the malignant neoplasm of nasopharynx, commonly known as nasopharyngeal cancer, which accounted for 2.7% of hospitalisation due to all types of cancers.

- In 2023, 254 people died from nasopharygneal cancer, accounting for 1.7% of all cancer deaths. The crude death rates for male and female were 6.0 and 1.2 per 100,000 population of respective sex.

- In general, the age-standardised death rate was higher in male than those of female.
