- Diabetes mellitus was the eleventh leading cause of death for male in year 2023. In 2023, the number of deaths were 570, accounting for 1.0% of all registered deaths. The crude death rates for male and female were 8.6 and 6.7 per 100,000 population of respective sex.

- A decreasing trend was observed in the age-standardised death rate due to diabetes mellitus since year 2001.
