- In 2022, 23,805 inpatient discharges and deaths were related to cerebrovascular diseases, accounting for 1.2% of all inpatient discharges and deaths.

- Cerebrovascular diseases was the fifth leading cause of death in 2022. In 2022, the number of deaths were 3,057 accounting for 5.0% of all registered deaths. The crude death rates for male and female were 48.1 and 36.1 per 100,000 population of respective sex.

- The age-standardized death rate due to cerebrovascular diseases has dropped by more than half over the past two decades from around 40 to around 20 per 100,000 standard population.

- In 2022, the age-specific death rates due to cerebrovascular diseases increased markedly after age 64. Compared to females, males had higher death rates in all age groups.
