2. Data before 2003 are not covered in this instant query. "--" indicates that the statistics are either not available or not applicable.
3. "Number of persons affected" is applicable to food poisoning only.

5. Swine Influenza has been removed from the list of notifiable infectious diseases since 8 October 2010.
6. The figures of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli infection represent Escherichia coli O157:H7 infection before 10 ‍June ‍2011.
7. "Typhus" has been revised to "Typhus and other rickettsial diseases" which includes spotted fever since 14 July 2008.
8. "Severe Respiratory Disease associated with Novel Coronavirus" has been renamed as "Middle East Respiratory Syndrome" since 14 June 2013.
9. "Novel influenza A infection" has been listed as a notifiable infectious disease since 21 February 2014, which has replaced "Influenza A (H2), Variant influenza A (H3N2), Influenza A (H5), Influenza A (H7), Influenza A (H9)".
10. The three local malaria cases in 2015, 2019 and 2021 were due to recrudescence of infection many years ago.
11. "Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent" has been listed as a notifiable infectious disease since 8 January 2020 and renamed as 'Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)' since 29 April 2020.
